| Q1. | On which Operation Systems can I install Juzt-Lock™ onto? | |||
| A1. | Currently, Juzt-Lock™
can be installed on Windows 98/ME/NT/2000. |
|||
| Q2. | Can I install Juzt-Lock™ on Windows 95? | |||
| A2. | No. Windows 95 does not
support Juzt-Lock™. |
|||
| Q3. | What is the purpose of setting up the Administrator Account after the installation of Juzt-Lock™? | |||
| A3. | The setting up of the
administrator's account is critical because an administrator is required
to configure and manage Juzt-Lock™. The administrator is also required
for uninstalling Juzt-Lock™ and installing Windows Operating System
Service Packs. |
|||
| Q4. | Can I install Juzt-Lock™ on Windows XP? | |||
| A4. | Yes. However, the existing
version of Juzt-Lock™ does not support Multi-Logon feature on Windows
XP. |
|||
| Q5. | The computer restarts twice after I install SD226S Card Reader driver. Is this normal? | |||
| A5. |
Yes. On Windows 98/ME, the card reader cannot run
properly unless the computer restarts twice. The first restart is for the
computer to update its system's drivers. On Windows NT/2000, the computer
only needs to be restarted once. |
|||
| Q1. | Is there any difference between Juzt-Lock™ installations on different Operating Systems? | |||
| A1. |
Yes. There is a difference between Windows 98/ME and
Windows NT/2000. In all Windows Operating Systems, Juzt-Lock™ users
logon using the same interface. However, in Windows 98/ME Juzt-Lock™
users logout from the "Start" menu bar. But in Windows NT/2000
Juzt-Lock™ users logout using the Ctrl-Alt-Del key press or selecting
the "Shutdown" option from the "Start" menu bar. |
|||
| Q2. | I received my Smart Card later after Juzt-Lock™ was installed. How do I write my user data into the Smart Card? | |||
| A2. |
First open "Juzt-Lock™ Manager", select the
account and then select "Change Password". After changing your
password, the data will be written into the Smart Card and you can log on
with it. |
|||
| Q3. | Is there any association between Juzt-Lock™ user's accounts and Windows System user's accounts? | |||
| A3. |
On Windows 98/ME, Juzt-Lock™ account is managed by
Juzt-Lock™ itself. However, the account is the same as Windows system
account on Windows NT/2000. In other words, any addition/removal action
you take on Juzt-Lock™ account will directly affect Windows system
account. |
|||
| Q4. | What's the function of the Juzt-Lock™ icon at the lower right corner of the screen? | |||
| A4. |
This icon allows you can configure the computer to
automatically invoke the screen saver mode when you remove the Smart Card
from the reader. This function will not be enabled unless you have logged
in with the Smart Card. Once you enable the icon and remove the Card, the
computer will immediately invoke the screen saver mode with password
protection. You will not be able to access the computer until you reinsert
the Smart Card back into the reader. If you have logged in using the
keyboard, this icon will show a gray-scale image (disabled). |
|||
| Q5. | How can I change the logon method in Juzt-Lock™? | |||
| A5. | Juzt-Lock™ will keep
track of the logon method you used previously, and then use the same
logon mode the next time you log on. To change the logon mode, click on
the "Cancel" button and the logon type selection will appear. |
|||
| Q6. | A message is repeatedly displayed on the screen, prompting me to set up System Administrator's account. What should I do? | |||
| A6. | To eliminate this problem,
please set up the System Administrator's account immediately. |
|||
| Q7. | I am unable to use the "Add Users" and "Delete Users" functions in "Juzt-Lock™ Manager". What should I do? | |||
| A7. | These two functions are
only available to the Juzt-Lock™'s Administrators. To use these
functions, you have log on as an Administrator. |
|||
| Q8. | What is "System Log"? | |||
| A8. | System Log records
Juzt-Guard™ events such as login, encryption, decryption, logout, etc. |
|||
| Q9. | Why is the "System Log" useful? | |||
| A9. | It allows you to keep
track of encryption/decryption processes, logins and encrypted file
access. In this way, you will be able to know if anyone has tried to
access your encrypted file(s). |
|||
| Q10. | Why am I unable to delete certain user's accounts? | |||
| A10. | You are not allowed to
delete the default and administrator accounts. Once you delete these
accounts, you will be unable to uninstall Juzt-Lock™. |
|||
| Q11. | How many accounts can I store on the Smart Card? | |||
| A11. | Only one. The new user
account will overwrite the old one stored in the Smart Card. |
|||
| Q12. | Why does my screen saver stop running without Juzt-Lock™ password protection? | |||
| A12. | Juzt-Lock™ is embedded
into your Operating System. Please ensure that you have enabled the
"Password Protection" function in your "Screen
Saver" configuration. |
|||
| Q13. | Why is the function "[Enable SmartCard Lock] " on lower right hand corner unavailable? | |||
| A13. | This function will be
enabled only when you log on using the Smart Card. |
|||
| Q1. | Juzt-Lock™ informs me that I am not a System Administrator and cannot remove programs. What should I do? | |||
| A1. | To solve the problem,
please log on again as a Juzt-Lock™ System Administrator. |
|||
| Q1. | What if I forget Juzt-Lock™'s Administrator account? | |||
| A2. | From "About..."
in "Juzt-Lock™ Manager", you can find the System
Administrator's account. |
